He underwent the procedure not for the sake of convenience or appearance but, rather, for a reason he doesn’t usually talk much about: he hopes that it will improve his odds of surviving a disaster, whether natural or man-made. of Reddit, which is valued at six hundred million dollars, was nearsighted until November, 2015, when he arranged to have laser eye surgery. I'm with you on the sad and amusing thing too.Steve Huffman, the thirty-three-year-old co-founder and C.E.O. Probibly, but I think my point is made yes? Even if the Great mistake *was* 2027, and this date had some apocaliptic relevance, it proves nothing on its own becase you would as you say, be hard pressed to pick a date that wasn't tied to an end times. Well, I find it simultaneously amusing and sad. I find it amusing when a "prophet" predicts a specific end-day, and then it passes, and he simply says something like "Oh, I forgot to carry a 0" and predicts a different day, and some people still believe him. As long as there's war and pestilence, the end times are always upon us.
I'm sure if you care to look a little harder you can find someone predicting them, and probably a thousand others prior. No one rembers the predictions that don't come true, but certain branches of christianity have been predicting apocalipse for centuaries, then sheepishly moving the dates when nothing happens. Not all christian, but enough that a mere corelation of a date isnt enough to substansiate it. Hardly a year goes by without some manner of world ending doom being predicted. Please take this entire conspiracy with a bucket of salt because it's sketchier than a sketchy drawing of a sketchy house made with sketchy pencils. That was my super sketchy connection of the Deus Ex franchise and the Civilization franchise. In 2005, T2 bought out Firaxis, and do you know what they're making now? Civilization: Beyond Earth, yay!
Now in 1997 american game designer Ken Levine left Looking Glass Studios to found Irrational Games which worked on games like System Shock 2 and Tribes: Vengeance untill in 2006, Irrational Games was bought out by T2 Interactive to make games like the Bioshock series, but lets go back a little. Well actually, there might be some sort of super-meta way of connecting this.Īmerican game designer Warren Spector (just a few notable works include: System Shock, Deus Ex, Ultima Underworld) worked at Looking Glass Studios (or Looking Glass Technologies) untill he left to go to Ion Storm to found Ion Storm's Austin branch and start working on his dream game, Deus Ex. A I was hoping it would be a crossover of Civ: Beyond Earth and Alpha Centauri. So basically Deus Ex: Human Revolution is in the same universe as Civilization: Beyond Earth.
